Rescuers head east to help rebuild infrastructure in cities and settlements
The personnel of the Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kherson Oblast and the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Rivne Oblast went to the east of the country to join colleagues from other regions of Ukraine to provide assistance in the restoration of residential buildings damaged due to fighting in Donetsk region.
The constant fear for their own lives and the lives of their relatives, the incessant expectation of the next shelling, the inability to influence the situation — the inhabitants of the frontline settlements in Donetsk region cannot be envied. They live in super difficult conditions, overcoming fear and fighting stress every day. Added to this are material problems - numerous explosions damaged almost every house in the frontline zone. Most owners of residential buildings do not have the opportunity to independently carry out repairs. Emergency rescue workers came to their aid.
Accompanying his employees, the head of the regional department of the State Emergency Service of Kherson region Andriy Pavlenko paid special attention to the training of rescuers to perform their assigned tasks and wished to adequately fulfill their duties.
Emergency responders have to work in extremely difficult conditions, at risk to their own lives, because settlements are located in close proximity to the demarcation line.
