Rescuers increase preparedness to eliminate a variety of emergencies
Tactical and special training, training and practical classes with the population occupy an important place in the activities of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. In addition to helping rescuers improve their own professional skills, they also allow them to work out joint actions together with other emergency services and facility workers in an emergency situation.
Thus, on May 12, a class on safe and proper use of pneumatic and hydraulic emergency and rescue equipment was held with the scientific and pedagogical staff of Lviv State University of Life Safety and the personnel of the educational fire and rescue department. The participants theoretically considered the technical characteristics of the equipment and practically worked out the tactics of its use in responding to accidents related to accidents.
In Odessa last week, rescuers conducted training in a high-rise building. According to the tactical plan of the exercises, a conditional fire broke out in a 16-storey residential building located on Leader Boulevard, on the 13th floor in one of the apartments. In order to provide sufficient pressure to extinguish the fire on the 13th floor, rescuers laid a main line along the stairwells. To achieve the required pressure to extinguish the fire, the firemen supplied water through the truck tank installed on the fire hydrant. At the end of the event, an assessment of the conducted training was given and the main shortcomings in the elimination of the conditional emergency situation were indicated.
In turn, in the Nikolaev area, firefighters liquidated the conditional fire and rescued the “victim” in the premises of the Nikolaev district court.
In addition, on May 12, an outbound meeting of the regional commission of TEB and emergency services was held in Sarne district of Rivne region on combating and preventing mass fires in the natural ecosystems of the region. On the helicopter of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the head of the Rivne Regional State Administration together with law enforcement agencies and rescuers inspected the state of the ecosystem of the northern regions of the region, and the Bogun snow-swamp was tested in the swampy areas of Rivne region.
In general, tactical and special training, training, practical classes with the population will continue throughout the country, because they allow not only to work out an algorithm of actions in the event of an emergency, to verify the reliability of rescue equipment, but also to demonstrate to citizens the necessary actions in the event of a particular danger situations.
