Border guards detained a Russian who, despite the ban on entry, violated the Ukrainian border for the second time
The recidivist violator was detained by the border guards of the Sumy detachment. From the documents, the detainee had only a Soviet-style military ID.
Ukrainian border guards detained a violator who illegally crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border, near the village of Grabovske, in Sumy region. The detainee called himself a citizen of the Russian Federation and stated that he wants to live permanently in Ukraine. However, the citizen of the neighboring country did not show the desire to respect Ukrainian laws. As it turned out, he illegally crossed the border knowingly.
In 2018, this man was already detained for illegally crossing the Ukrainian border. True, then he had with him a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. Three years ago, he was brought to administrative responsibility, after which the violator was banned from entering Ukraine for five years. Now the violator of the border is threatened with administrative responsibility and a ban on entry into Ukraine for 10 years. But there is a possibility that he will remain in Ukraine, although in prison. After all, upon the fact of detention, border guards sent to the competent authorities to identify signs of the crime provided for in Art. 332-2 (Illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment of up to three years for the illegal crossing of the Ukrainian border by a person who is prohibited from entering the territory of Ukraine.
