Border guards will take part in Ukrainian-British exercises “COSSACK MACE — 2021”
The Department of Personnel of the Administration of the State Border Service conducts consistent work to improve the professional training of the border command post of rapid response.
One of the important elements of this process is the participation of border guards in joint, including international, schools. Among other things, this summer the State Border Service of Ukraine will take part in the Ukrainian-British exercise “COSSACK MACE — 2021”, which is planned to be held on the basis of one of the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“COSSACK MACE — 2021” should improve the interoperability between the military formations of the UK and Ukraine. Within the framework of this international project, joint planning and execution of battalion-tactical operations is envisaged. The training will improve the coordination of actions of Ukrainian military units and NATO units during defensive and offensive operations.
From March 29 to April 02, the border guards took part in the main conference on training planning, which was held on the basis of the interspecific training center of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of the training planning group Colonel Vitaliy NEGODENKO (Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces) noted that participation in the exercises will give border guards the opportunity to work out cooperation with NATO units and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as improve the ability to respond to changes in the operational environment and the emergence of sudden incursions.
Among other things, during the exercise “COSSACK MACE — 2021” it is planned to work out the interoperability of multinational headquarters, study of the military decision-making process (MDMP), conduct defense and offensive operations under the leadership of multinational headquarters. Also, the school will allow to implement the best practices of conducting operations, taking into account the experience gained by Ukrainian armed formations during the operation of the Joint Operations Forces (ATO).
