Border guards found a plane that violated the Ukrainian-Romanian border
An aircraft was found in the Zhytomyr region.
Last night, the border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment, together with their Romanian colleagues, detected a plane that violated the state border. Then he headed deep into the territory of our state.
In cooperation with the Air Force of the Armed Forces, employees of the State Border Service took all necessary measures to track and intercept the target. The plane disappeared from radar in the area of one of the settlements in Zhytomyr region.
The searches conducted by the officers of the operational-search unit of the Zhytomyr border detachment together with representatives of the National Police and the SBU allowed to identify the place of possible landing of the aircraft.
During the inspection of the hangars, law enforcement officers found a light-engine aircraft without a flight number. In addition, persons possibly involved in the illegal movement of tobacco products across the state border have been identified.
Currently, a notice has been sent to the Security Service of Ukraine on the detection of an offense on the basis of Article 334 of the Criminal Code “Violation of the rules of international flights”, and to the National Police — on the basis of Art. 332-2 of the Criminal Code “Illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”. Operational and search activities continue.
