Border guards exposed the channel of illegal border crossing by persons from the sanctions list of the National Security and Defense Council
Law enforcers found that, in addition to illegal migrants, the scheme using fake passports was also planned to be used by persons from the sanctions list. The
channel of illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine using fake passport documents was stopped yesterday by employees of the Main Department of Internal and Own Security “South” of the State Border Guard Service Ukraine jointly with the USSR in the Odessa region of the DSR NP of Ukraine and the detectives of the Main Directorate of NPU in the Odessa region under the procedural guidance of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
This time, the indicated channel intended to use a citizen of the Republic of Moldova to legalize fake passport documents. This person tried to bribe a serviceman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, but was detained on the hot spot.
As it turned out, the documents were to be used by potential illegal migrants (from Turkey and Afghanistan) to illegally enter EU countries. It was also established that with the use of such documents, the changed constituent data were planned to use persons from the sanctions list for urgent illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine.
Investigative actions continue.
