The border guards of the Sumy detachment stopped the illegal movement of military equipment from the Russian Federation
The Sumy Border Guard continues to take systemic measures to counter illegal activities at the state border.
So, yesterday, the border guards of the Sumy detachment stopped the illegal movement from the territory of the Russian Federation of military products subject to state export control.
Not far from the border with the Russian Federation, in the area of the settlement of Pushkarne, the border patrol found a Ukrainian citizen with three boxes behind his back, who was moving away from the Russian-Ukrainian border. Checking the border section, border guards found signs of violation of the state border regime from the territory of Russia to Ukraine, and also found seven similar boxes nearby.
After examining the contents of all the boxes, law enforcement officers found in them a large number of military goods used in military aviation and radar. The border guards informed the employees of the USBU in the Sumy region about the suspended offense.
At the moment, a 48-year-old man, a resident of the city of Sumy, has been detained. For the illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine, administrative materials were compiled on it under Art. 204-1 KupAp.
The investigators of the USBU in the Sumy region, according to the notification of the Sumy Border Patrol, have entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations information about the signs of a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Art. 333 (violation of the procedure for international transfers of goods subject to state export control) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office of the Sumy region, investigative actions continue to establish all the circumstances of the offense.
