More than 116 million hryvnias of losses to the Odessa Law Academy — the state registrar was informed of suspicion
A man is criminalized for abuse of authority by persons who provide public services.
It was established that in 2018, the state registrar made changes to the State Register of Real Property Rights in relation to the owner of the property. On the basis of forged documents, the ownership of the National University “Odessa Law Academy” and the private company was canceled, and the real estate was illegally re-registered to another commercial structure.
The actions of the state registrar caused the Academy more than 116 million UAH of losses.
Operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police, together with law enforcement colleagues, exposed the illegal activities of the man.
Today, May 21, the state registrar was informed of the suspicion, immediately after his return to Ukraine, on the territory of Odessa airport. The man is charged with committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Art. 365-2 (abuse of authority by persons providing public services) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General. Law enforcement officers are working to establish a full circle of persons involved in illegal alienation and re-registration of real estate.
