Police of Kiev region detained a criminal group of armed robbers from the Russian Federation
This was announced by the head of the GUNP in the Kiev region Andrei Nebitov. The attackers “visited” at least 4 estates in Kyiv region. The robbers broke into the homes, tied up the owners and cleaned the houses. In total, the villains stole 420 thousand US dollars, 250 thousand euros, 300 thousand UAH.
So, on August 15, a group of people broke into the house in Gnidyn, tied the hostess with plastic clamps, stole 100 thousand dollars and jewelry. In the village of Knyazhychi, the attackers attacked the house of the couple, where they stole cash and personal belongings. In Kozin, the villains brazenly took out the safe.
Police of Kyiv region conducted a number of operational-search activities, worked out more than 400 video surveillance cameras and detained the robbers. The suspects were 43-year-old and 45-year-old previously convicted citizens of the Russian Federation who illegally crossed the Ukrainian border. One of the defendants was previously convicted of murder and spent more than 10 years in prison, his accomplice was also previously prosecuted.
At the rented apartments of Russians, police seized weapons, pistols, 7 shell grenades, shells for RPG, knives, devices for breaking doors, radios, camouflage.
On October 1, the court chose a precautionary measure for both suspects in the form of detention.
“I once again call on citizens to take care of the security systems in private homes, because even these armed intruders were forced to flee and forget about the loot when they were met by security in Vorzel,” Andrey Nebitov urged.
