As a result of the meeting, the commander of Operation “UNIFIER” Lieutenant Colonel Melanie Lake drew attention to the fact that the main effort in cooperation with the Canadian side will be the development of institutional capacities and in particular noted:
“I am grateful for the opportunity to visit this Training Center and am very pleased to see the personnel of the operation working together with Ukrainian special forces and intelligence officers. The training that I see here right now is almost identical to the training that takes place in the Canadian Armed Forces. Our instructors give you their experience, but also have the opportunity to learn combat experience from the Ukrainian side. Today, our main goal is to assist the personnel of the Training and Combat Center in conducting various trainings, so that in the future the Ukrainian side can conduct such courses independently.”
