Patriotic forces must be assembled and adequately repel Putin's threats with force near the border - Arsen Avakov
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that now the patriotic forces must act as a united front against the provocations of the Kremlin.
“Today it is extremely important to respond to the threat comprehensively and adequately: by concentrating all patriotic forces of Ukraine around a common goal — to decisively repel possible provocations and aggressions! The consolidated forces of statesmen and civilian veterans-patriots — regular forces of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Reservists must unite to defend their country. So it was in 2014. It will be so now, if you have to!”, - said Arsen Avakov.
The Minister of Internal Affairs reminded that these days Ukraine celebrates the 7th anniversary of the creation in Ukraine of the first Dobrobats — volunteer groups of patriots.
“The first Volunteer Battalion “Dnipro-1” was created by my order No. 313 of 14.04.2014. Then we had only 10% military experience, but 90% of the strength of spirit! And together with the forces of the Armed Forces, we were able to stop the invaders! Thank you to every Dobrobat fighter for their dignified service in the ATO zone! I call on you, brethren, if the Motherland calls — to unite again and stand in defense of your native land!” said Arsen Avakov.
The Minister stressed that Ukraine has now become much stronger and more capable of combat.
“We already have powerful equipment and real combat experience — and the strength of spirit, I am sure, has only become stronger!”, - he noted.
Recall that today in the structure of the National Police of Ukraine there are 21 units of the patrol service of the special purpose police. They serve in places of permanent deployment and in the Joint Forces Operation area. In compliance with the General Staff directive, units of the National Police perform tasks in the combat zone, as well as ensure public order and security. Currently, they serve at 24 stationary and 26 mobile checkpoints, 2 security points. They also carry out the tasks of the Joint Forces Command to prevent the penetration of DRG, supply of weapons and ammunition, stop uncontrolled movement of civilians and cargo from the occupied territories and neutralize criminals.
