Protection of public order: the results of the work of the National Guard patrols over the past week
In the period from 21 to 27 June of this year, the personnel of the NGU were engaged in service in 21 regional centers of the state and the city of Kyiv, as well as in 42 cities of regional and district subordination, 18 rural settlements. Also during the past week, guards patrolled the territory of railway stations in Kharkiv and Dnipro.
The soldiers of the National Guard continue to carry out tasks for the implementation of state protection measures, ensuring the holding of large-scale mass events of a socio-political nature, the protection of local self-government bodies, as well as in preventive measures in the territory of 9 settlements of the state in places and areas with the most difficult criminogenic situation, including the fight against illegal mining of amber in Volyn, Rivne and Zhytomyr regions.
In total, according to the results of the service last week, the National Guard patrols handed over 88 people to the National Police for suspected crimes, 1 thousand 710 people for administrative offenses.
Detainees seized: 33 firearms units, 4 explosive packages, 2 mines, 1 traumatic pistol, 6 thousand 911 rounds (together with NPU), 0.187 kg (0.135 independently, 0.052 together with NPU) of narcotic substances. Returned property in the amount of 19 thousand 800 hryvnias.
During the summer health resort season, the soldiers of the National State University of Ukraine ensure the protection of public order in the cities of Ivano-Frankivsk, Odessa, Slavyansk, Svyatogorsk, Schurovo, Mariupol, Melikino, s. Hryada, s. Svityaz, Melnyky Shatskoi TG, m. Verkhovyna, s. Rudka.
The guards also continue to actively participate in measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine. In particular, they protect the territories of 4 facilities for hospitalization of patients with coronavirus, observation (isolation) in 4 cities (Kiev, Odessa and Kremenchug).
This week, the Guards ensured law and order at 27 mass events:
- during public actions near state authorities;
- during the celebration of the Constitution Day of Ukraine;
- during religious events;
- during the stay at the Odessa seaport of NATO warships of the United Kingdom HMS Defender and the Netherlands “HNLMS Evertsen” (21-22 June);
- near the judicial institutions in the city. Kyiv.
This week, the troops of the National Guard participated in search activities in the territory of the village. Letnia Lviv region, Vinnytsia, city. Reni of Odessa region and Lviv.
The patrol units of the NGU continue to ensure law and order in the area of operation of the Joint Forces in Severodonetsk and Rubezhny Luhansk regions and Mariupol, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka, Druzhkivka — in Donetsk region.
According to the results of the service, 8 persons were transferred to the National Police on suspicion of committing criminal offenses, including 2 persons who were under active investigation and 116 persons for administrative offenses. Detainees seized: 30 tons of scrap metal, 100 kg of fish, 277 blocks (100 packs) of tobacco products without excise stamps.

June 24, in the framework of criminal proceedings in investigative actions and operational-search measures of weapons and ammunition during their illegal sale in the city. Vinnytsia together with police officers seized: 33 units of weapons, 4 explosive packages, 2 mines, 6 thousand 908 rounds of various calibers.
On June 25, the patrol of V.H. 3011 of the NGU together with the NPU, while serving with the OGP of the city. Kropyvnytskyi, detained a citizen for art. 263 CCU, in which, during a surface inspection, a traumatic pistol and 3 rounds to it were found without permits. The investigative and operational team of the regional OP was called to the scene.
On June 25, patrol of V./h. 3036 of the NGU, during service with the OGP in the city. Dnipro, found and detained the man under Art. 185 “Theft”, who by breaking into the cabin of someone else's car and stole the car radio and, seeing a military outfit, tried to escape. The investigative and operational team of the district IP was called to the scene.
On June 27, a patrol with a service dog of the 3011 NGU, during service with the OGP m. Kryvyi Rih, detained a man for art. 309 CCU, in which, during the surface inspection, a narcotic substance of synthetic origin with a total weight of 10 grams was detected. The investigative and operational team of the regional OP was called to the scene.
On June 27, patrol of V./h. 3033 of the NGU, during service with the OGP in the city. Berdyansk, detained a man for art. 186 “Robbery”, who, using physical force, took away a citizen's wallet and tried to break the gold chain.
