Protection of public order: the results of the work of the National Guard patrols over the past week
In the period from May 17 to 23 of this year, the personnel of the NGU were engaged in service in 21 regional centers of the state and the city of Kyiv, as well as in 39 cities of regional and district subordination, 8 rural settlements. Also during the past week, guards patrolled the territory of railway stations in Kharkiv and Dnipro and bus station in Mariupol.
In total, according to the results of the service last week, the National Guard patrols handed over 116 people to the National Police on suspicion of committing crimes, 1 thousand 975 people for administrative offenses.
Detainees seized: 1 pistol, 1 hunting rifle, 12 rounds, 1 grenade (RGD-5), 5 pieces of cold weapons, 0.313 kg of narcotic substances, 4 motor pumps. Returned property in the amount of 16 thousand 840 hryvnias.
Soldiers of the National Guard continue to actively participate in measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine. In particular, they protect the territories of 7 facilities for hospitalization of patients with coronavirus, observation (isolation) in 5 cities (Kiev, Odessa, Kherson, Sumy and Kremenchug).
This week, the Guards ensured law and order at 85 mass events:
- during public actions near state authorities;
- during the plenary sessions of the session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 9th convocation;
- during the stay in the Odessa seaport of the British Navy ship “Trent”;
- near the judicial institutions;
- during sporting events, etc.
Preventive measures to prevent illegal mining of amber in the territory of Volyn, Rivne and Zhytomyr regions continue. Also, the guards take part in preventive measures on the territory of 8 settlements of the state in places and areas with the most complex criminogenic situation.
Also, servicemen of the National Guard took part in search activities on the territory of the Volyn region.
The patrol units of the NGU continue to maintain law and order in the area of operation of the Joint Forces in Severodonetsk, Rubezhny and Starobilsk of the Luhansk region and in Mariupol, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka, Druzhkivka — in the Donetsk region.
According to the results of the service, 5 persons were transferred to the National Police on suspicion of criminal offenses, and 33 persons for administrative offenses to the National Police.
During the execution of tasks with the OGP, 2 thousand 160 persons were detained on suspicion of committing criminal offenses and 32 thousand 908 persons for administrative offenses, of which 102 persons were arrested for criminal offenses in the territory of the PLO.
Recall the high-profile cases of offenses and probable crimes this week:
On May 18, 19 and 20, the NGU patrols together with the NPU, during preventive measures to prevent illegal extraction of amber in the Rivne region, found and seized 4 motor pumps in accordance with the requirements of Art. 240 KKU.
Kremenchuk. On May 19, the patrol of V./h 3059 of the NGU, while serving with the OGP, detained a citizen under Art. 263 of the Criminal Code, in which, during a surface inspection, a pistol was found without the appropriate permits. The investigative and operational team of the regional OP was called to the scene.
On May 20, the guards, while serving with the OGP in the village. Bilokurakino, a citizen was detained for art. 263 CCU, in which a toz-17 hunting rifle was found without the relevant permits. The investigative and operational team of the regional OP was called to the scene.
Odessa. On May 21, the auto patrol of V./h. 3008 of the NGU, while serving with the OGP, detained a man under Art. 263 CCU, in which, during the surface inspection, 12 metal objects were found externally similar to cartridges. The investigative and operational team of the regional OP was called to the scene.
Odessa. On May 23, the patrol of V./h 3012 of the NGU, while serving with the OGP, detained a citizen for 263 KKU, from which an RGD-5 grenade was seized. The investigative and operational team of the regional OP was called to the scene.
