National Police officers blocked the channel of illegal migration of foreigners to EU countries
Law enforcement officers detained 36 illegal migrants from South Asia and one from Transcaucasia. For their illegal transit to the EU countries, foreigners paid the organizers of the channel from 12 to 15 thousand US dollars. The issue of expulsion of illegals from the territory of Ukraine is currently being resolved.
Operatives of the migration police unit received information about the attempt to establish a powerful channel of illegal migration of immigrants from South Asian countries through the territory of Ukraine to the European Union. As a result of operational measures, employees of the migration police together with the State Border Service and the Security Service of Ukraine in the border areas of Luhansk region and the city of Severodonetsk detained 36 foreigners. They tried to illegally cross the border of Ukraine.
According to foreigners, for their illegal transit to EU countries they paid from 12 to 15 thousand US dollars.
Currently, the police are installing the organizers of the illegal migration channel. They may face punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to nine years in accordance with Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine).
Illegal migrants are transferred to the migration service for decision-making in accordance with the legislation on the legal status of foreigners.
