Bad weather in Ukraine: rescuers were involved to overcome the consequences of adverse weather conditions
As predicted by the specialists of the UkrHydrometCenter, last day in Ukraine there were complications of weather conditions in certain regions. Thus, gusty winds (in some places gusty) and heavy rains led to the flooding of 38 private dwellings and two-storey houses, as well as the toppling of trees, damage to structures, etc. In particular, 100 roofs were damaged by gusts of wind and 90 trees were toppled.
18 people were evacuated from dangerous areas. Only on July 21, since the onset of bad weather, about 2 thousand m3 of water has been pumped out. Fallen trees cut and removed. The work involved 238 people and 57 equipment of the State Emergency Service.
Donetsk Oblast:
In the m. Druzhkivka, m. Kostiantynivka, m. Slavyansk, m. Myrnohrad, Yampil village and s. 77 roofs (58 private and 8 multi-apartment buildings, 3 schools and 8 administrative buildings) were damaged in Kindrativka, Kramatorsk district. 33 fallen trees were sprayed and removed. Works completed. The work involved 106 people and 28 equipment of the State Emergency Service.
Luhansk region:
In the m. Svatove damaged 2 roofs of five-storey residential buildings and partly the roof of the city hospital, in the city. The roof of the school was damaged in Troitske. On the territory of the Svatovsk and Severodonetsk districts, the units of the State Emergency Service, together with the municipal services, sprayed and removed 57 fallen trees. Works completed. The SNS involved 39 people and 9 pieces of equipment.
Odessa region:
On the night of July 22, due to heavy precipitation in the form of rain (about 31 mm, which is 80% of the monthly norm) in the Suvorov, Malinovsky and Kiev districts of the city. In Odessa, 38 private residential buildings and personal plots were flooded. There are no casualties or casualties. The units of the State Emergency Service evacuated 18 people from flooded houses. About 2 thousand m3 of water is pumped out. The water level from the carriageways is reduced by gravity. No precipitation is observed. Work continues. The State Emergency Service involved 93 people and 20 technicians.
