In the spring of 2022, the Unified Register of Weapons will be fully operational — Denis Monastyrsky
This was stated today, December 2, by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky at the International Forum on kleptocracy and illegal financial flows.
“At the beginning of next year, we will present the Unified Register of Weapons, which will also significantly overcome the corruption component. This area has caused a lot of comments. Already in March-April, the registry will work fully,” the head of the law enforcement agency said.
Denis Monastyrsky said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is rapidly developing digital technologies. ID cards, driver's licenses, which are displayed in the “Action” application, allow you to obtain electronic services without problems and without corruption. Online you can get a place in the queue.
“The goal for Service Centers is trouble-free, legal obtaining of a driver's license, which must be implemented within three months. There are problems in the procedure for obtaining a certificate of non-criminal record. However, within two to three weeks, we will eliminate the shortcomings and such a certificate can be obtained online. A citizen instantly receives an extract from the register, and an authorized person will be able to check this document through a QR code,” he said.
The head of the law enforcement agency said that in matters of “domestic” corruption, Ukrainian specialists focused on the experience of international colleagues and implemented digitization of services:
“I want to say that this case is very successful in Ukraine. If we used to have experience, now we can share it. Including electronic criminal proceedings will be a significant step in the fight against corruption in Ukraine,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The Minister of Internal Affairs called on colleagues to unite the efforts of all law enforcement agencies: “Only in this way can we talk about a real counteraction to this phenomenon.”
Recall that the Ministry of Internal Affairs named five main advantages of the introduction of the Unified Register of Weapons.
