Attacking Ukraine in 2021 will not be an easy walk, the enemy will suffer huge losses — Arsen Avakov
The Minister of Internal Affairs, during the inspection of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the contact line, said that Russia can not count on the easy capture of Ukraine. Since 2014, all units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been preparing to repel the enemy.
“Today we looked at the interaction and armament of units, starting with the Azov regiment, and also look at the work of the coast services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system. Because the coast of the Sea of Azov is a priority for us in terms of controlling the country and repulsing in case of aggression and landing of an enemy landing on the territory of Ukraine,” Arsen Avakov said.
The Minister stressed that all units are ready to fulfill the tasks assigned to them.
“During the inspection, we identified the need for a number of administrative decisions in terms of security, both material and military-technical. We will make such decisions at the level of the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Security Council and we will be 100% ready for the tasks. Since 2014, we have been preparing for the enemy's offensive. We expect that readiness will protect our land and our soldiers. We also expect that the world community will have enough skill and intelligence to keep the aggressor from taking drastic action,” he said.
The Minister of the Interior stressed that the readiness of the units is radically different from the one that was in 2014. And in terms of equipment, and in terms of combat experience, and in terms of mental readiness.
“The National Guard, police forces, border guards and even rescuers, who are largely prepared to eliminate consequences in conflict zones, demonstrate a high level of training. And I want the aggressor to understand that the attack on Ukraine will not be an easy walk, it will be huge losses for those who decide to enter our land without our consent,” Arsen Avakov said.
The Minister of Internal Affairs was shown the actions of the special unit KORD in the event of the seizure of the coastal structure — its assault and capture of intruders by landing from the water.
Recall that in order to fulfill the task of the General Staff and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, today, April 19, the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov inspected the positions of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
