National police and animal protection organizations signed a memorandum of cooperation
Therefore, police and representatives of public animal protection organizations will conduct joint activities aimed at protecting animals from mistreatment.
The memorandum of cooperation was signed by representatives of the National Police of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Union of Public Organizations “Association of Animal Protection Organizations of Ukraine”, charitable organization “Charitable Foundation “Four Paws”, NGOs “Animal Shelter “Sirius”, “Eco-Logic”, “Civil Investigators”.
Within the framework of cooperation, police officers and activists will hold joint events, including conferences, trainings, training aimed at the implementation of the protection of animals from mistreatment.
Recall that on November 8, 2021, the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the Implementation of Certain International Agreements and Directives of the European Union in the Field of Animal and Flora Protection”, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on July 15, 2021, entered into force.
We also recall that, in accordance with Art. 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, criminal liability is provided for the cruel treatment of animals.
