The National Police investigated crimes in the prison “Isolation” and raised suspicions to its executioners
Tonight, November 9, in Kyiv, the operatives of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the head of the illegal prison “Izolyatsia”, a militant of the criminal organization MGB of the DPR, Denis Kulikovsky with the nicknames “Palich”, “The First”. The pre-trial investigation in this case during the past year was carried out by investigators of the National Police of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office.
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky.
“For more than a year, investigators in cooperation with the migration police have been investigating the terrible crimes of “Palich” against people. Law enforcement officers interrogated the victims, identified their executioners and identified 45 members of this organized crime group. In September of this year, materials for 8 war criminals were transferred to the court for extrajudicial sentencing,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
In addition, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the police received operational information about the head of the prison, the chief executioner of Ukrainians in Izolatia — the so-called “Palich”. Namely, that he arrived in the territory controlled by Ukraine. And already now it is in the hands of Ukrainian law enforcement officers — this is the result of the joint work of the National Police and the SBU.
“No matter how much time passes, these terrible crimes will not go unpunished,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
Acting Head of the GUNP of Donetsk region Artem Kysko noted that 166 people were currently in this prison.
“Over the past year, Donetsk police officers investigated the events that took place in the city of Donetsk on the territory of the former Izolyatsia plant, currently there is a prison of the so-called “DPR”. 166 people have already been identified, but this is not an exhaustive list of victims who have been in this prison. Among them are two journalists, employees of the border service, migration service, SBU, as well as the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he said.
According to him, the police of Donetsk region managed to identify persons belonging to various so-called branches of government of the “DPR”, in particular the prosecutor's office, investigators, operatives, MGB of the DPR, from the category of convoys, judges who were involved in torture, bullying, carrying out actions with victims who were found on the territory of this prison.
Police investigators announced the search for the detainee Denis Kulikovsky under four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Art. 149 “Trafficking in Persons”, Art. 258-3 “Creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization”, p. 260 “Creation of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law” and Art. 438 “Violation of the Laws and Customs of War”.
