The National Police of Ukraine received the fourth helicopter H145
Today, June 23, as part of a contract with the French company Airbus Helicopter, the fourth H145 board arrived in Kyiv. This type of helicopters in the Aviation Security System is used by units of the National Police of Ukraine.
The head of the Department of Aviation and Water Police of the National Police of Ukraine Serhiy Naumenko said that the next board was the helicopter H145, which flew to the capital, updated model D3.
“This board is significantly different from the previous ones, has a larger number of blades and a stable gearbox. Of the positive aspects, it should be noted that it is more stable and less noisy. It is also worth noting that this model is more reliable to perform the tasks facing the aviation units of the National Police,” he said.
Serhiy Naumenko noted that at the moment this is already the fourth board received for NPU units. In total, as part of the contract for the needs of the National Police, 10 H145 helicopters are provided.
“Currently, we are carrying out the registration procedure and in the shortest possible time this board will begin to fulfill its tasks,” added the head of the Department of Aviation and Police on the Water of the NPU.
It is worth noting that the main air base of the NPU is located in Kaniv. The newest hangars have already been built there, as well as technical support for the use of helicopters. However, the aviation units of the NPU will be based throughout Ukraine, two options for basing are being considered — compatible, with other aviation units, as well as the NPU's own air bases.
Recall that on June 15, the Minister of Internal Affairs visited with a working trip the Center of Aviation Support of the National Police, based on the helicopter “Kanev Helicopter Site”. On the territory of 8.6 hectares, two additional hangars for the aviation of the National Police of Ukraine have been purchased and built, and a hotel complex for the needs of aviation personnel will soon be built.
