The National Guard began to protect public order in Drohobych
The patrol company of the 2nd Galician Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine began to protect public order in the city of Drohobych.
The first solemn rally took place with the participation of the head of the Western Operational and Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Alexander Nabok, adviser to the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Colonel Andriy Antonyshchak, the mayor of the city Taras Kuchma, the brigade leadership and police officers Tsiya. Brigade commander Colonel Serhiy Shulyak gave the order for service in the central square of the city.
“Today, the solemn event in the 2nd Galician Brigade is the issuance of the first order for the service for the protection of public order by the personnel of the patrol company, which begins to perform the tasks of service in the city of Drohobych and its surroundings, - Lieutenant General Oleksandr Nabok addressed those present. - Appointment of the patrol The company is an interaction with employees of the National Police in order to counteract street crime, instantly respond to illegal actions, protect the peace and tranquility of residents and guests of the cities of Drohobych, Stebnik, Borislav and Truskavets”.
The National Guard will serve as a public order officer in conjunction with police officers and as part of independent foot patrols. They will perform these tasks 5 days a week. Over time, the soldiers of the patrol company will be involved in public order protection in Stebnik, Borislav and Truskavets.
“Drohobych is an industrial zone where a large number of enterprises are concentrated, including strategic ones,” says Mayor Taras Kuchma. “And in order for everything to be good in our region, so that people understand that they are safe, the National Guard of Ukraine comes to the service of public order protection. These people have shown at the front that they are capable of performing combat tasks and there are no obstacles for them. And I really wanted that this is where the National Guard would place its unit.”
It is worth noting that these cities are a sufficiently developed resort area, where people come to rest from different parts of Ukraine. The safety of local residents and vacationers is a priority task that the National Guard command and police officers put before them.
