During the meeting of the deputy commander of military unit 1241 of the National Guard of Ukraine from the service of Lieutenant Colonel Bogdan Bohdan with the head of the Verkhovyna district state administration Vasyl Brovchuk, the creation of separate points of temporary base of the mountain patrol company, which is stationed in the territory of Ivanovo, was discussed. -Frankivsk region.
“At this time, the reserve of military unit 1241 has special equipment, in particular high-pass trucks, ATVs, snowmobiles, ski equipment and other equipment that can be used during emergencies in hard-to-reach mountain settlements,” commented Lieutenant Colonel Bogdan Bogdan at the meeting. “We are ready to fulfill the tasks of the public order service in order to increase the level of safety of vacationers during the summer holiday season and to assist the National Police of Ukraine in the fight against crime.”
The activities of the mountain patrol company are based on the experience of colleagues from Romania. In case of placement on the territory of such a point, the unit will be able to perform tasks for the protection of public order not only in the settlement of Verkhovyna, but also throughout the Verkhovyna district as part of road and foot patrols, as well as, in conjunction with interacting authorities, carry out search and rescue operations against citizens who are lost in mountainous and wooded areas.
“With a significant increase in vacationers, difficult terrain and routes, tourist groups and single travelers often need help in the mountains. Therefore, the training to act in difficult situations and the special equipment of the mountain patrol company will greatly help the territorial communities of the area. From the side of the district authorities there will be full assistance in helping and finding the territory and premises for the establishment of such a unit,” says the head of the Verkhovna RDA Vasily Brovchuk. Recall that the mountain patrol company of the military unit 1241 was created with the assistance of foreign colleagues, namely representatives of the Romanian gendarmerie. as a
highly efficient unit for rapid response in areas with mountainous or difficult terrain. In the case of the National Guard of Ukraine and the Gendarmerie of Romania, 4 cross-border cooperation projects are being intensively implemented, the main purpose of which is to increase the level of interaction between the units and to build a system of bilateral response to threats and changes in the context of the criminogenic situation.
