In Ternopil region, a boy, defending himself and his mother, fatally injured one of the six attackers
A 24-year-old resident of the village of Gleshchava, defending himself from the attack of six drunk peers, injured one of them with a knife. The victim died of blood loss.
The incident happened on May 2 around midnight. According to the head of the local police department Andrei Kupchak, a company of six people came to a nearby village for a disco from Ivanovka. At the club, the suspect made a remark to them. The guys did not like it and they decided to deal with the local resident. The latter, in order to avoid a fight, fled home and shut himself up.
However, the company came to his yard at night. They ripped out the door handles and knocked out the door. At the time of the hooliganism, there was a mother in the house with the boy. He was afraid for her. He reported the uninvited guests
to the line “102” and then went out to the deboshirs with a knife. However, when the push began, the young man accidentally stabbed one of the attackers with a knife. The wound turned out to be fatal.
A police investigative and operational team arrived at the scene, which identified all participants in the conflict. Investigators entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations information about the commission of the crime provided for in Part 1 of Art. 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The person who inflicted the fatal blow with the knife has been detained.
During the day, police officers conducted a complex of investigative and operational actions to establish all the objective circumstances of the incident, interrogated witnesses, appointed a number of examinations.
Suspected at the time of the fight, he was sober. According to the results of the initial investigative actions, investigators and prosecutors made a decision to change qualifications - to Art. 118 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The guy is released from custody. The court chose a preventive measure for him - round-the-clock house arrest.
The investigation of this tragic event is under the control of the leadership of the National Police of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
