In Rivne region, police seized almost 11 kilograms of raw amber
During the joint exercise of the Sarnensky district, employees of the Preventive Activities Department of the GUNP, together with the patrol police, exposed three residents of the village of Kisorychi on the illegal transportation of “solar” stones.
Yesterday, April 28, around 22 o'clock near the village of Rokytne due to violation of traffic rules, a Mercedes-Benz 208D car fell into the field of view of law enforcement officers.
While checking the documents of the 31-year-old driver, one of the passengers threw two bags through the window. According to the results of the inspection, they had stones of raw amber.
The investigative and operational team, which went to the scene, documented the criminal offense committed and seized untreated “solar” stones with a total weight of 10 kilograms 700 grams.
As part of the pre-trial investigation initiated under Part 1 of Article 240-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, investigators will direct the seized for hematological examination and establish its origin. However, the driver, 23 and 26-year-old passengers claim that they have nothing to do with amber.
In addition, the patrol police officers drew up administrative materials for the driver under part 6 of article 121 and part 1 of article 126 of the Code of Civil Procedure (non-compliance of the license plate with the requirements of the standards and the absence of a driver's license).
