The release of soldiers of the police special unit KORD took place in Kyiv region
For two months, candidates for positions in the special forces underwent intensive training at the National Academy of Internal Affairs. Today, July 30, the Head of the National Police Igor Klymenko congratulated the police officers who were selected and joined the ranks of the “Rapid Action Corps” unit in seven police departments.
Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Oleksiy Rudenko and Head of the “CORD” Department of the National Police of the National Police Mykola Putiy also took part in the ceremony of awarding certificates to employees of the main departments of the National Police who successfully completed the training.
Handing the certificates, Igor Klimenko noted that the selection to the units of KORD is very tough. In particular, the health and life of ordinary citizens and the safety of colleagues who insure when performing complex and dangerous tasks depend on the professional skills of special agents.
“You are the elite of the National Police. You are the people who are always on the first line of fire. Every time, when performing special operations, you risk your own health and even life. I wish that your professionalism, your temper and willpower always saved your life and you returned to your family healthy after performing your duties,” said Igor Klymenko.
Deputy Head of the National Police Oleksiy Rudenko noted that as early as tomorrow the Kordians will take part in combat duty in their units. He noted that the special agent must be able to quickly assess the situation and make the right decision on actions in different situations, and for this it is necessary to develop professionally.
“You have to train constantly. After all, your life depends on a quick decision, the life of your comrade and citizens of Ukraine,” Oleksiy Rudenko said.
Over the course of two months, the candidates studied fire training, knife fighting, indoor tactics, sniping, tactics for arresting people using a car, special operations planning, explosive action, tactical medicine and other disciplines.
