In Kirovograd region, law enforcement officers completed an investigation into the fact of extortion
Threatening physical assault, the attackers demanded from a local resident to transfer money and land to them in exchange for a non-existent debt. The indictment against two residents of the Onufrievsk district is sent to court.
The employees of the detective department, together with the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office of the region, as part of the investigation of criminal proceedings, documented the illegal actions of persons. The suspects, under psychological pressure from the head of the farm, demanded to give them 30 thousand US dollars and re-register a land plot for agricultural purposes with a total area of 30 hectares.
The investigation in the framework of criminal proceedings has been completed.
Persons are incriminated for the commission of criminal offenses provided for in Part 2 of Art. 189 (extortion) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. If proven guilty, the accused faces up to seven years in prison.
Recall that in December 2020 in Kirovograd region, law enforcement officers stopped the criminal activity of a group of persons suspected of extortion.
