The attackers entered false information into official documents and withdrew funds from the banking system of depositors, which were later appropriated.

Police Department for the Protection of Public Interest and State of the GUNP in Dnipropetrovsk region, together with investigators and operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Regional Police, have exposed four former bank executives. The attackers entered false information into official documents and withdrew 86 million hryvnias from the financial institution's depositors from the banking system, which they later appropriated.

Police conducted a number of authorized searches at the place of residence of the defendants and in office premises. As a result, documentation and computer equipment containing information confirming the involvement of the suspects in the crime were seized.

The events took place under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

At the moment, all defendants have been informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 190 (Fraud), Part 3 and Part 5 of Art. 191 (Appropriation, squandering of property or possession of it by abuse of official position), part 2 of Art. 28 (Committing a crime by a group of persons, a group of persons by prior conspiracy, organized group or criminal organization) and Part 1 of Art. 366 (Official forgery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

For two offenders, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest, the other two - personal obligations. Violators face punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to twelve years with confiscation of property.
