Diver training classes were held at the basic course of the special officers of the National Guard
In the Training and Combat Center of Special Operations Training Center of the International Center of NGU, located in the city of Vyshgorod in the Kyiv region, courses of basic level training of servicemen of the Special Purpose Detachments of the National Guard of Ukraine continue. One of its stages was diving training, during which the guardsmen in diving gear, they were submerged under water and practically performed tactical and special tasks.
These classes were preceded by theory and trials in the baroque chamber, which is mandatory for admission to practical immersion.
“Trial classes in the barroom are held for those who are going to dive in diving equipment for the first time in an open body of water or a swimming pool. They are necessary in order to understand whether a person under the pressure of water will be able to withstand the load that will be in the aquatic environment or not. In the barroom, this is immediately visible. Unfortunately, not all of them passed the tests due to the individual characteristics of the organism to compare internal pressure with external pressure,” said the head of the diving training section of the Training and Combat Center Senior Lieutenant Alexander Asmanov. During the lessons, special officers also worked out the elements of diving attire Ordering in extreme conditions, searching for sunken objects and acting in emergency situations.
“There are several elements that are very important during a dive, such as proper breathing, assembling equipment and working with flippers in the water. All cadets tried to master them, something did not work out the first time, but for this we train. These lessons will be repeated, both practical and theoretical,” the instructor added. with special officers, and preparation for parachuting, which will take place later.
It should be recalled that the basic training course of special forces personnel from its beginning has been accompanied by representatives of Operation “UNICEF” of the Canadian Armed Forces in Ukraine, who also conducted underwater diving equipment and provide advisory assistance during training with the guards.
