The Ministry of Internal Affairs in partnership with Estonia will work to strengthen Ukraine's resilience

Today, October 19, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mary Akopian met with the Estonian delegation headed by Kaimo Kuuski - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine. The Ministry of Internal Affairs together with representatives of Estonia agreed on the launch of a joint project “Strengthening Ukraine's Resilience by Developing Regional Security Experience”. It is implemented with the support of the Estonian Foreign Ministry and the US Embassy in Ukraine.

It is planned that in the near future employees of NPU, NGU, State Fiscal Service and the State Emergency Service will take part in intersectoral trainings that will take place in eight regions of Ukraine. Law enforcement officers will adopt the experience of the best specialists in crisis and strategic communications. In the future, it will promote effective interaction between the authorities, the power bloc, public activists, the media and public opinion leaders while overcoming security challenges in the regions.

“I thank ICDS representatives for timely and high-quality research on security issues and practical assistance to Ukraine. Thanks to the consistent support of our Estonian partners and the implementation of their experience, we are gradually improving and reaching a new level,” said Mary Akopian.
