Ministry of Internal Affairs strengthens Ukrainian-Spanish cooperation in law enforcement

Today, November 9, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Fufalko discussed with the Deputy Head of Mission of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine Mr. Pablo Han Quesada ways to strengthen Ukrainian-Spanish cooperation in the areas of competence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The parties noted the positive dynamics of operational cooperation of police forces, as well as cooperation on the development of joint projects in the field of human rights protection. In particular, cooperation in order to develop the capabilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in preventing and combating domestic violence and in matters of respect for the rights of the child.

There was also talk of supporting national candidates in voting for appointment to the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) within the framework of the next meeting of the Interpol General Assembly in Istanbul.

The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine spoke in favor of intensifying practical cooperation between the National Guard of Ukraine and the Spanish Civil Guard (Guardia Civil), both members of the International Association of Gendarmerie Forces and the police in the status of a military institution (FIEP).
