The commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Colonel-General Mykola Balan, was also vaccinated against coronavirus infection with the CoronaVac vaccine.

“Currently, vaccination remains one of the effective means of combating the spread of COVID19 in the state and in the world. And even returning to the most general provisions of military statutes, every serviceman is obliged to comply with safety requirements, take measures to prevent illness, injury, and daily increase physical toughness and fitness. And the duty of the commander is to ensure the safety of life and health of personnel. Therefore, we are doing everything possible so that everyone who has expressed a desire can be vaccinated. Currently, more than 15% of personnel have been vaccinated in the National Guard of Ukraine and this process continues, in particular in the Joint Forces,” said Mykola Balan.

Recall: Vaccination against COVID-19 is voluntary and began in the National Guard of Ukraine in March 2021. It is carried out by mobile brigades of health institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Immunization is carried out on site at specially organized temporary vaccination points at the place of deployment.
