The commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, as part of a working trip to the area of the operation of the United Forces, checked the state of affairs and the organization of the service of guards at checkpoints and platoon strongholds.
Mykola Balan also visited the entry and exit checkpoint “Schastya”, where he talked with the servicemen of the State Border Service of Ukraine and the personnel of the State Emergency Service, who are serving here, ensuring his work.
He thanked them for their cooperation and high-quality performance of military tasks.
“Today, the whole range of measures carried out by units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and other departments in the area of operation of the PLO makes it possible to ensure not only the fulfillment of defense tasks, but also a number of measures for the safety of citizens and assistance to them if necessary,” the commander of the NGU noted.
Nikolai Balan also laid flowers at the Memorial to those killed in the liberation of Lysychansk, which is installed in honor of the soldiers of the NGU who died in the battles for the liberation of this city. Namely Major General (posthumously) Oleksandr Radievsky, Colonel Pavlo Snitsar and soldier Igor Kotsyar.
