The National Guard of Ukraine holds an extended meeting of the military council with the heads of structural units of the Main Directorate, territorial departments, commanders of units, military units, heads of bases, health institutions and institutions. Due to quarantine restrictions, the meeting is held in video conference mode.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky. He noted the contribution of the National Guard to ensuring the security of the state in the face of current challenges and threats, in particular during the implementation of tasks in the area of the operation of the PLO and the strengthening of the state border of Ukraine. “The last months have been tense in the context of the security situation.
It is, of course, a challenge, for the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard to carry out the tasks that are assigned to us. One of them is the strengthening of the section of the state border with Belarus. Operation “Polissya” continues. We carried out a number of necessary events and exercises and increased our capabilities,” said Denis Monastryskyi.
The Minister also drew attention to priority areas in the structure's activities, namely: interaction with other units of the security and defense forces.
Separately, Denis Monastyrsky stressed the importance of professional training of personnel and maintaining a high level of readiness for tasks, in particular by introducing approaches and best practices of NATO member countries. As well as on the issue of social security of the military personnel of the NGU, comprehensive provision, treatment, recovery and rehabilitation.
During the day, the command of the NGU and the leaders participating in the meeting of the military council will discuss the future tasks for 2022, the issues of training and training of personnel, logistics support, international cooperation and other areas that will ensure the development of the National Guard as an effective component of the security and defense sector.
