We must consolidate efforts to create an environment free from violence and protected from modern threats for children - Kateryna Pavlichenko
This was emphasized by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs today during the All-Ukrainian meeting on the protection of children's rights. The discussion was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal, with the participation of the President's Commissioner for Children's Rights, representatives of ministries, heads of regional state administrations and heads of regional centers of social services.
“Protecting children's rights and creating a safe environment is an extremely important and always urgent task for the state. We must consolidate the efforts of state authorities, local self-government and the public to ensure the rights and interests of children”, - noted Kateryna Pavlichenko.
The Deputy Minister said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is taking consistent steps towards increasing the level of protection of the rights and interests of children, ensuring the functioning of an effective system of prevention and response, and establishing trusting relationships of children with law enforcement.
“We constantly keep in focus not only the issue of reducing the level of offenses against children, but also minimizing the factors of formation of illegal behavior of children and the impact of other negative phenomena on them,” added Kateryna Pavlichenko.
