Today, September 8, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mary Akopyan held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Ukraine Salem Ahmed Al-Kaabi.
The parties discussed the status of the current bilateral cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the UAE and noted its intensification against the background of this year's visit of the Ukrainian delegation to this Middle East country headed by the President of Ukraine, which also included the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The successful practical implementation of the Agreement concluded in 2018 between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on cooperation in the fight against crime and terrorism is emphasized.
The participants stressed the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United Arab Emirates on the mutual recognition and exchange of national driver's licenses, which was signed on February 14, 2021 in the city of Ukraine. The ambassador handed over a letter of invitation addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to visit the World Exhibition Expo-2020, which is scheduled to be held in the city. Dubai in October this year.
