Future officers of the National Guard of Ukraine took the oath

125 future National Guard officers are sworn to protect Ukraine and its people. This year 334 cadets started their studies at the National Guard Academy. Of these, 209 are already soldiers of the National Guard and have experience of serving in the troops.

This year, for the first time, at the beginning of the celebrations, the personnel under the musical accompaniment of the Great Academic Slobozhansky Ensemble of Song and Dance performed the National Anthem of Ukraine. And then the creative team of the ensemble presented a welcoming vocal and choreographic composition.

The Head of the Academy, Lieutenant General Sergey Sokolovsky, addressed the words of congratulations to all those present.

“I congratulate the cadets of the 2021 enlistment on the military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people, and the personnel of the Academy with a worthy replenishment,” said Lieutenant General Serhiy Sokolovsky. “Each of you could choose any profession, but you took a step forward and chose the National Guard of Ukraine. We chose at a difficult time for the country. The Academy has everything you need to get the real skills and abilities of a professional officer and subsequently replenish the guard units. Carry your service with dignity and always remember the words of the oath you took in the presence of your parents, comrades, officers. Good luck!”

Director of the Department of Defense, Mobilization Work and Cooperation with Law Enforcement Agencies of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleksiy Maksimov congratulated the staff of the Academy.

“Dear cadets! That is why our country has become stronger today, because young patriots who have made a conscious choice have joined the ranks of its paramilitary formations. From today, you have a high honor to serve in the National Guard of Ukraine, - Oleksiy Maksimov stressed. “Remember that your service should always be the personification of strength, honor, courage and patriotism.”

A cadet, a representative of the military dynasty Yegor Bartashevich, whose father and grandfather, devoted themselves to military service, begins his studies at the Academy.

“Now everyone is worried, but especially the cadets of the first year of training, who have stood on the difficult path of the future officer. I would like to wish that you do not lose your desire and inspiration, to develop yourself not only as military, but as a worthy person, grateful sons and daughters, - the cadet addressed to those present. - Today, here, on the square, my grandfather, Alexei Bartashevich, is present, a veteran who dedicated served in the military all my life and is a role model for me and for my graduating officers. Also, my father, Bartashevich Oleksandr Alekseevich, is a hero who every day defends our state in the east of Ukraine and does everything so that the sun shines over our heads, and it does not rain from enemy bullets. I am very grateful to them for the fact that they inspired me by their own example to choose the profession of an NGU officer. On behalf of the cadets who took the military oath, I assure you that we will not let you down.”

After the speech of retired Colonel Alexei Bartashevich, a veteran of the National Academy, those present honored the memory of the servicemen who died, defending peace, tranquility, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state with a minute of silence and laying flowers at the Stele of Heroes.

Pastoral blessing and consecration was carried out by Bishop of Kharkiv and Bogodukhov Bishop Mitrofan.

And she completed the celebrations with the song “Defender of Ukraine”, Honored Artist of Pop Art of Ukraine Olga Polezhak.
