Cadets and students of the Ministry of Internal Affairs honored the memory of the defenders of Ukraine
Today, August 29, in Ukraine, together with other heroes, they honor the memory of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. Cadets and students of universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system took part in events throughout the country.
Rector, vice-rectors, employees and cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs laid flowers at the monument to the dead law enforcement officers.
Cadets and the leadership of the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs also joined the commemoration of the heroes.
In the chapel of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, a prayer service was held for the Heroes of Ukraine. The service was also attended by the first-year students of the academy, who arrived yesterday from the field center for ensuring the educational process after the initial military border training.
The events were also attended by cadets of the Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety named after Heroes of Chernobyl of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine, headed by Deputy Head of the Institute for Civil Service Vyacheslav Poveznik. In memory of their dead colleagues, defenders of order and security, they lit candles of remembrance — this tradition was started in 2019.
On the eve of the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, a commemorative event was held in Dnipro. The rector of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs Police Colonel Andriy Fomenko took part in the commemoration.
