“Border-2021” — a joint border operation continues on the border with Belarus
In order to strengthen measures to prevent and stop illegal activities, compliance by individuals and legal entities with national legislation, as well as to ensure the speed of response to changes in the situation, the joint border operation “Border 2021” continues on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. The operation began in early September and will last until the end of October this year.
The activities of the joint operation “Border 2021” are carried out by the border guards of the 9th detachment named after the Sichov Riflemen in cooperation with other border guards, units of the National Police, the National Guard, the State Migration Service and local self-government bodies.
The operation involves two phases, during which complex interdepartmental measures are carried out to counter threats in the field of illegal migration and border security. Also, the control of citizens' compliance with the border regime and the state border regime, both on land and on river sections of the border, has been strengthened. In order to fulfill the specified tasks, border guards will actively use departmental drones and manned aircraft within the controlled border areas.
