The cynological calculations of the National Guard are preparing to take place for the first time at the parade for the Independence Day of Ukraine
On the basis of the First Presidential Brigade named after Petro Doroshenko of the Northern OTO NGU, practical training of the consolidated canine unit of the National Guard takes place to participate in the military parade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
In total, more than 30 dog handlers with service dogs of the German Shepherd breed from all operational and territorial associations of the NGU were involved in the training. Preparation will take two months. At the parade, they will undergo a separate calculation in special equipment.
“Now we carry out practical training, namely establishing contact between dog trainers and service dogs, since they came from different regions and are not familiar with each other, and we also carry out socialization of dogs,” - said the head of the Department's canine service Colonel Taras Borita of the Service of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The dog handlers themselves admit that they are proud of the opportunity to participate in the military parade. “I go through the service with the service dog Rich.
A young dog is energetic, active, loyal. We will participate in the military parade for the first time. I dreamed about it and am very happy that I was chosen. All the guys are ready. I am sure that we will not fail”, - shared his impressions, senior cynologist of the canine group of the rifle battalion of the military unit 3008, Sergeant Volodymyr Perestyak. It is worth noting that the canine calculations of the National Guard will take part in the parade for the Independence Day of Ukraine for the first time.
For reference. On the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, it is planned to hold a solemn concert and parade of troops on Khreshchatyk Street and Maidan Nezalezhnosti with the flight of aircraft as part of the air column of the security and defense forces and the armed forces of the partner countries. On this day, a static display of modern weapons and equipment of the security and defense forces, as well as an artillery barrage on Trukhanov Island in the capital, will take place on Mikhailovskaya Square and Vladimir Passage.
