As early as next year the aviation security system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will have more than 50 helicopters of French production Airbus, as well as domestic aircrafts. Such a number of equipment must be used efficiently, so the Ministry of Internal Affairs is implementing two ambitious projects at once - the Common Aeromedical Space and the European Fire Safety Hub.

This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskiy during an inspection of the Nizhyn Air Base.

"Next year Ukraine will already have more than 50 modern helicopters of French production Airbus Helicopters. And we will be able to present one of the largest fleets of aircrafts in Europe. But these aircrafts must be used effectively. That's why we implement two ambitious projects at once - the Common Aeromedical Space and the European Fire Safety Hub", - Denys Monastyrskiy said.

The Minister of Internal Affairs stressed that the creation of the European Fire Safety Hub involves, in particular, the construction of the Situation Centre for Monitoring, which will analyze thermal satellite imagery. The information obtained will make it possible to eliminate natural disasters at an early stage. Thus, it will be possible to prevent up to 90% of fires, eliminating them by local forces.

In order to become an aviation hub, it is also necessary to increase the air fleet of the State Emergency Service, namely to double the number of AN-32P planes. As early as tomorrow, the State Emergency Service will receive another fifth plane, AN-32P, designed specifically for extinguishing fires. The Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to increase the number of such planes in the SES fleet", - he said.

Denys Monastyrskiy said that an important project remains the development of aeromedical evacuation, which this year was initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health. In two years, the entire map of Ukraine will be covered by helicopter bases for aeromedical evacuation and transportation of donor biomaterials. The use of not only Airbus Helicopters H-145, but also domestic Mi-2 MSB-1 helicopters is currently under consideration.

In turn, the Acting Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Serghii Kruk noted that the Service has great prospects in the development of aviation of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

After familiarization with the material and technical base of the unit, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Acting Head of the SES of Ukraine met with the personnel of the Special Aviation Detachment and took part in the ceremony of presentation of certificates of apartments for families of SESU aviators, as well as awarded the best employees with the valuable gifts.

It is worth noting that over the past six months alone, aviation units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, working together with ambulance crews of the Ministry of Health, have made 85 flights. The lives and health of our citizens depended on each one.
