Already next year, the Air Safety System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will have more than 50 helicopters of French production Airbus, as well as domestic aircraft. This amount of equipment must be used effectively, so the Ministry of Internal Affairs implements two ambitious projects at once - the Unified Aeromedical Space and the European Fire Safety Hub.

This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky during the inspection of the Nizhyn airfield.

“Next year there will be more than 50 modern helicopters of French production Airbus Helicopters in Ukraine. And we will be able to present one of the largest aircraft fleet in Europe. But these air machines must be used effectively. Therefore, we are implementing two ambitious projects at once - the Unified Aeromedical Space and the European Fire Safety Hub,” said Denis Monastyrsky.

The Minister of the Interior stressed that the creation of the European Fire Safety Hub involves, in particular, the construction of a Situational Monitoring Center, which will analyze satellite thermal images. The information received will make it possible to eliminate the element at an early stage. Thus, it will be possible to prevent up to 90% of fires by eliminating them by local forces.

“For the formation of an air hub, it is also necessary to increase the air fleet of the SNS, namely to double the number of AN-32P aircraft. Tomorrow, the SNS will receive another, fifth aircraft — the AN-32P, which is designed specifically for extinguishing fires. The Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to increase the number of such aircraft in the SNS fleet,” he said.

Denis Monastyrsky said that the development of aeromedical evacuation, which was launched this year by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health, remains an important project. In two years, the entire map of Ukraine will be closed by helicopter bases for aeromedical evacuation and transportation of donor biomaterials. Currently, the issue of using not only Airbus Helicopters H-145 helicopters, but also domestic Mi-2 SMB-1 is being considered.

In turn, acting Head of the State Emergency Service Serhiy Kruk noted that the Service has great prospects in developing the aviation of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Having familiarized with the logistical base of the unit, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the acting Head of the State Emergency Service met with the personnel of the Special Aviation Detachment and took part in the ceremony of awarding certificates for apartments for the families of SNSS aviators, as well as presented the best employees receive valuable gifts from the Prime Minister of Ukraine, honors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and departmental awards of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that in the last six months alone, the aviation units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, working together with the ambulance brigades of the Ministry of Health, made 85 flights. The life and health of our citizens depended on everyone.
