Guardsmen provide protection of public order during Rosh Hashanah celebration in Uman
Since the beginning of September, more than two hundred servicemen of the First Presidential Brigade of operational purpose named after Hetman Petro Doroshenko and military unit 3061 of the Northern ATO NGU, together with the employees of the National Police of Ukraine, provide protection of public order in the city of Uman, during the celebration of the Jewish New Year, which is celebrated this year from 6 to 6 September 9.
“The military, together with the police, carry out a complex of preventive measures to ensure the public safety of citizens. For a coordinated response to all events during the celebration, the interdepartmental operational headquarters began work. It includes representatives of the National Police, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service and the Migration Service of Ukraine,” said Major Myroslav Hrytsyk.
Law enforcement officers continue to respond clearly and quickly to any manifestations of offenses, so that citizens can be assured of their safety and security.
“The National Guard maintains order in our city, especially during the Rosh Hashanah celebration. There are indeed units that constantly patrol the area. Thanks to the law enforcement officers, I feel safe and it is very good that ordinary citizens have the opportunity to turn to the guards for help,” said Mr. Ilya, a resident of Uman.
Recall that this year, almost thirty thousand pilgrims from ten countries of the world came to the place where the grave of Rabbi Tzadyk Nakhman is located to celebrate the New Year.
