On May 14, more than 100 servicemen of National Guard units performing tasks in the area of the Joint Forces operation received vaccines. Some of them were vaccinated for the first time. Most — came to receive the second dose of Sinovac Biotech vaccine and thus — to undergo full immunization.

The vaccination was carried out by the mobile immunization brigade of the State Polyclinic of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Luhansk region (located in Severodonetsk) on the basis of the medical post of the military unit 3035. Repeated vaccination was also carried out by the National Guards in Mariupol.

Before vaccination, each serviceman filled out a questionnaire about his health status, signed a written consent, and was examined by a doctor.

“Vaccination is going according to plan. All conditions for vaccination are met. Anyone who is revaccinated, I ask how the course was after the first dose of the vaccine. In my experience, all adverse reactions to vaccines were within the normal range. Among the most common are fever, weakness, chills. But according to the patients, it passed in a couple of days,” said the nurse of the polyclinic of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Olena Nefedova.

The servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, who participate in the operation of the United Forces in the east of Ukraine, are among the group of people who are vaccinated first on a par with doctors. The reason is simple and clear — defenders have a high risk of getting sick with a large group at the same time, and this will provoke a threat to the entire state, which is in a state of war.

“Vaccination is needed not only for your own safety. Thanks to vaccination, collective immunity is formed. I was given the first dose of the vaccine. The state of health is excellent. I want to quickly complete the full course and feel more protected,” said the deputy commander of the special purpose battalion “Donbas” for working with personnel Nikolay after vaccination.

Recall that in order to be fully immunized against COVID-19, it is necessary to receive not one dose of vaccine, but two or even three - of one vaccine - depending on the type of vaccine and how the patient will be vaccinated.

According to the Ministry of Health, as of May 13, 2021, 8,358 people received 2 doses of the vaccine.
