Guards of the mountain patrol company and special officers of the NGU trained in mountain conditions
In the Western Operational and Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine, a training and training session with specialists of high-altitude training of individual units of special purpose territorial departments and the mountain patrol company of the 50th Regiment named after Colonel Semen Vysochan was completed.
For 10 days, servicemen under the guidance of experienced officers of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine trained in mountaineering techniques, improved skills during movement in mountainous and forested terrain, organized descents and ascents using climbing equipment and mastered the technique of movement in support un espacio y sin espacio.
Particular attention was paid to the evacuation of victims from the danger zone. In addition, during the meeting, the storming of the building was worked out.
“Now we train not only narrowly trained specialists, special officers from the high-altitude assault group, but all those who are called to carry out special operations in the National Guard. General exercises and skills in altitude training at the initial level should be able to everyone without exception,” said Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Chmyrev, assistant head of the educational and methodological assembly.
Some of the participants of the meeting are new to the mountain business, they have joined such training in recent years. But such training much faster gives the opportunity to learn practically.
“The purpose of the training meeting was to develop common views on the methodology of organizing and conducting classes on altitude training in special purpose units and in the mountain patrol company. To increase the level of training of the personnel of combat groups in coherence when performing practical actions at altitude and to improve the skills and abilities of altitude training necessary for the qualitative performance of tasks in mountainous and mountain-forested terrain using top-climbing equipment”, — noted the head of the educational and methodical assembly Colonel Victor Kopachinsky.
Finally, the National Guardsmen took a practical test, where they showed their skills and skills during actions at altitude. The meeting was successful, all tasks were completed in full.
