Mobile checkpoints appeared in the area of the Joint Forces operation in 2018. This made it possible to significantly reduce the number of stationary checkpoints, and at the same time maintain the security situation in the region at the proper level. Today, when there is an increase in “hybrid” pressure on the local population by the Russian occupiers, as well as the number of provocations against the defenders of Ukraine, their relevance is growing.

Blockposts, in particular mobile ones, are a constant attribute of territories where there is a high level of terrorist threat or ongoing military operations. Here, not only filtering measures can be carried out, but also a partial or complete cessation of movement in a certain direction. This can happen if a danger to the life and health of citizens is identified, for example, in the event of a sharp deterioration in the operational situation.
Similar forced measures were taken by coalition forces in Iraq, stabilization forces during the Yugoslav conflict and during various police missions. So in Israel, checkpoints are used by police and military, not only to counter terrorist manifestations, but to enforce strict quarantine requirements.
