The head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko appointed an official investigation into the incident with the People's Deputy of Ukraine
On his Facebook page, the head of the National Police announced the appointment of an official investigation into the conflict between police officers and the People's Deputy of Ukraine.
“Regarding the incident with the People's Deputy of Ukraine. My order is for an official investigation. Patrol police officers who participated in the conflict and their immediate leaders are suspended from performing official duties. I personally met with Eugene Bragar and listened to his position. Currently, the Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine is collecting all available video recordings and testimonies in order to establish a complete and objective picture of the incident. After all, the body cameras on the police officers were turned off at the beginning of the incident, which is a violation of the instructions. In a few days we will receive the results of the examination. We stand for legality and objectivity. In case of detection of violations by police officers, they will be held accountable under the Law,” Igor Klymenko noted.
