The Ministry of Internal Affairs discussed the state of implementation of Ukrainian-French projects
Today, November 23, a meeting of the Ukrainian part of the Joint Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, chaired by the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky, was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs discussed with the participants of the meeting the implementation of existing Ukrainian-French cooperation programs and preparation for new large-scale projects.
“During a working trip to France, I spoke with the representative of the French part of our commission — Minister of Economy, Finance and Reconstruction of the French Republic, Bruno le Meer. He noted that France very much appreciates our cooperation. At present, our goal is to update the status of existing projects for effective implementation of bilateral agreements,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sergey Goncharov noted that 22 French helicopters have already been transferred to implement the project of the Unified System of Aviation Security and Civil Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“In particular, last week the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine received two Airbus H-125 helicopters, which are already equipped with equipment for protecting the state border of Ukraine. Currently, the procedures for their customs clearance and registration are ongoing. In addition, this year it is also planned to receive 11 more helicopters (H-125 and H-145), which is stipulated by the contract. As for the French helicopter H-145 - this will be the final supply for the needs of the National Police of Ukraine. In total, 10 helicopters will be available in the National Police,” he said.
According to Sergey Goncharov, in order to ensure the functioning of the Aviation Security System, the pilots were trained both in France and in Ukraine. 175 aviation personnel have already been trained.
“Also, the construction of our aviation bases, where the storage and maintenance of equipment is carried out, continues. 15 hangars were built. The National Police restored the modern airfield in Kanev. Work is also being carried out in the State Border Guard Service, the National Guard and the State Emergency Service,” the deputy minister said.
In turn, the head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Serhiy Deineko noted that the contract with the French shipbuilding company OCEA is executed within the specified deadlines.
“Already at the beginning of next year we expect the delivery of the first boat for the needs of the State Border Guard Service,” he said.
In addition, representatives of other ministries and departments that are members of the Joint Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation informed Denis Monastyrsky about the state of implementation of other projects. In particular, the supply and localization in Ukraine of the production of electric locomotives of ALSTOM for the Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Railway”; reconstruction of water and sewerage facilities of the city. Kyiv; launching the project of a national air carrier in Ukraine, etc.
Recall that new projects will be launched within the framework of the Joint Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission.
