Two million hryvnias of losses on the repair of educational institutions in Svyatoshinsky district — directors of two contracting organizations reported suspicion in Kyiv
The operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department in the city exposed the illegal activities of a group of persons. Kyiv National Police and investigators of the Kyiv Police Investigative Department.
As the police found out, in 2020, officials of one of the departments of the Svyatoshyn District State Administration concluded contracts with eight contracting companies. These companies performed repair work in educational institutions on the territory of the district, in particular - insulation of facades and roofs, interior work in classrooms, etc.
The official of the State Administration, reliably knowing that false information was entered into the official documents, signed the acts of acceptance of the completed construction work. These documents exaggerated the amount of work carried out, as well as indicated works that were not carried out at all. On the basis of these documents, contracting organizations received funds from the local budget.
As a result of the wrongful actions of the defendants, losses in the amount of almost UAH 2 million were caused.
Today, October 25, on the basis of the evidence received, the directors of two contracting organizations informed the police about the suspicion under parts 2, 3 and 4 of Article 191 (Appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In
addition, in the premises of the Paradise of the State Administration, in the offices of commercial structures and at the place of residence of the defendants, operatives and investigators conducted authorized searches. Earlier, in August 2021, a report of suspicion under Part 3, 4 and 5 of Art.
191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was received
by an official of the Svyatoshyn District State Administration. The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings, the procedural management of which is carried out by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, is ongoing.
