The State Emergency Service is ready to eliminate the consequences of possible emergencies on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border - Serhiy Kruk
Today, November 14, a meeting of the National Security Council of Ukraine was held in Lutsk on additional measures to ensure national interests in the field of state border protection.
The meeting was attended by Acting Chairman of the State Emergency Service Serhiy Kruk, Head of the National Police Igor Klymenko and Commander of the National Guard Mykola Balan. In addition to representatives of the power bloc, the heads of the Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv and Chernihiv regional state administrations joined the meeting. Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed the participants about the situation at the Ukrainian-Belarusian state border and about the planned measures to ensure compliance with the state border regime and public order.
During the meeting, Acting Chairman of the State Emergency Service Serhiy Kruk said that in the event of a complication of the operational situation on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border section, the Service will provide: elimination of the consequences of possible emergencies and extinguishing fires, carrying out emergency and rescue work and providing emergency assistance to the population, humanitarian demining of areas contaminated with explosive objects, strengthening, if necessary, the capacity of temporary residence points of foreigners of the State Migration Service in accepting refugees through additional deployment tents.
“Strengthened cooperation with the State Border Guard Service, the National Police, the National Guard and the State Migration Service on the joint implementation of tasks in the border areas with Belarus. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine is ready to perform tasks in case of complication of the operational situation on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border,” Serhiy Kruk stressed.
Recall that the border with Belarus will be additionally protected by 8.5 thousand soldiers of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, NGU and police officers.
