Denis Monastyrsky visited the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the area of the Joint Forces in the Luhansk region
Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky familiarized himself with the conditions of service by units of the National Guard at a checkpoint near the village of Shyrokyy, in the Stanytsia Luhanska area. Guardsmen of the 3rd Brigade of Operational Task Force 3017, Eastern OTO NGU serve here.
The Minister stressed that he will do everything necessary to increase the level of material support of the guards, especially in the area of the PLO.
“Of course, the issue of monetary security is the most urgent for the soldiers of the NGU. For 8 years of the war, the places of service are more or less equipped. But the living conditions should also be improved,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The head of the law enforcement agency talked with the guards, and he awarded the best with departmental honors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“I am honored to shake your hand for the fact that in such difficult conditions, you are serving. During these years of war, you have all become stronger and in no case will there be a step back. I am sure that the words “Glory to Ukraine” will be heard throughout the territory of the state,” he stressed.
The Minister also got acquainted with the work of the permanent checkpoint “Stanytsya Luhanska”, which is the only one on the entire line of demarcation.
Near the checkpoint Denis Monastyrsky paid tribute to the guards of the Kulchytsky battalion who died in 2015, laying flowers at the memorial sign “Dead for the Will of Ukraine”.
