This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky.

Yesterday, October 11, the investigators of the National Police announced the suspicion of the former managers of “Delta Bank” in the possession of more than UAH 1 billion 144 million. The question of the application of a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the five defendants is resolved.

“The investigators of the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General have presented a suspicion to the former owner of the bankrupt Delta Bank, who, together with four top managers of this bank, is suspected of embezzlement, misappropriation and causing damage in this episode alone. worth more than 1 billion hryvnias,” Denis Monastyrsky informed.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that since 2008, more than a hundred banking institutions have gone bankrupt in Ukraine, and more than one and a half million Ukrainians have lost their savings due to the abuse of bank owners and management.

“I am sure that this is not the last suspicion both in the Delta Bank case and in other cases where individual bankers cynically robbed their depositors,” the minister said.

It was established that at the same time owners and top managers built real palaces near Kiev and invested money stolen from Ukrainians in their own business.
